With Cider!
I use this recipe, but instead of water or tea it is really good with hot apple cider. We call them Hot Apple Totties! P.S and also we use 1 to 1 1/2 half shots of whiskey

Great Drink
I have only had it with tea; but I had both one shot of Bourbon and one shot of Whiskey. Really helped my sore throat!!

But w/ Hot Tea
My late Grandmother had her hot tottie in a china cup w/saucer made w/hot Irish brkfst tea. But it was with a FULL jigger of the family's best Ky Bourbon Whiskey, lemon & honey. She claimed it was just as good for 'prevention' when she was was not sick, but maybe just felt like she could be catching a little cold!
