| Directions: | Boil water and sugar until dissolved. Let it cool completely. Stir in remaining ingredients, except for soda. Pour into a plastic container and freeze. Be sure to stir occasionally until slushy to keep the alcohol mixed. Spoon into a glass and add your favorite clear soda. This recipe can easily be doubled for parties. Enjoy! |

Apricot brandy slush
Good basis for a really refreshing summer drink. A few twists on this recipe can really go a long way on a hot day. First thing we would do is double everything because it goes fast and it needs to be almost frozen to be perfect. My family uses apricot or peach flavored brandy (or both if we're feeling especially irish). We also use Limeade rather than lemonade for the tartness. we will mix in a can of each if making a larger batch. Passion-orange juice is also a nice variation depending on your taste. We usually use 7-up to finish it off but squirt works too. As a side-note if you save some of the mix BEFORE adding the alcohol the kids can have their own party punch too.
