Recipe Rating: 100 % (of 7 votes) Ingredients to use: 1.0 oz Fresh squeezed Lime juice 1.0 oz Jamaican Rum 1.0 oz Martinique Rum 0.25 oz Orgeat Syrup 0.5 oz Curacao Directions: Combine all ingredients in a double old fashioned glass, and fill a cocktail shaker with crushed ice. Pour combined ingredients over crushed ice and shake for 10-15 seconds. Do not strain, rather add contents of shaker to the glass. Garnish with a sprig of mint, and drop one half of the squeezed lime in glass too. This is the recipe for the original Mai Tai, as invented Victor Bergeron, and served at the Trader Vic's restaurants. This is the only recipe that should use the name "Mai Tai".
